Michael M. Piechowski, Ph.D.

Michael M. Piechowski tytuł magistra zdobył na Uniwersytecie Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu (fizjologia). Po roku studiowania w Belgii wyjechał do Stanów Zjednoczonych i tam obronił doktorat z biologii molekularnej na Uniwersytecie w Wisconsin-Madison. Wykładał na University of Alberta w Edmonton. Tam poznał Dr. Kazimierza Dąbrowskiego. Pracowali tam razem przez osiem lat.

Nie przerywając tej współpracy, Michael Piechowski wrócił do Wisconsin, aby zdobyć doktorat w zakresie psychoterapii. Następnie wykładał na University of Illinois, Northwestern University, and Northland College. Jest członkiem Institute for Educational Advancement and Professor Emeritus, Northland College w Ashland (Wisconsin), gdzie wprowadził eksperymentalny kurs w zakresie psychologii transpersonalnej. Jest współtówrcą opracowań Handbook of Gifted Education i Encyclopedia of Creativity. Jego studia nad ludźmi samorealizującymi się oraz wzorcami moralnymi doprowadziły go do studiów nad uzdolnieniami duchowymi i emocjonalnymi. Wykładał na Honors summer Institute na uniwersytecie w Ashland (Ohio), a także w Nowej Zelandii i Australii. Od 2002 r. zagangażowany rówież w letnie obozy dla wybitnie uzdolnionej młodzieży Yunasa, organizowane przez Institute for Educational Advancement. Mieszka w Madison w stanie Wisconsin (Stany Zjednoczone)
